Industrial Robotix IR180 robotic production cell. This
cell utilized a new Motoman UP6 arm w/ XRC 2001 control. We incorporated
an Allen Bradley Panelview 550 HMI and Micrologix 1200 PLC. We also custom
built a 500kg. payload (per side) 180 degree positioner table using an AC motor
and Danfoss Variable Frequency Drive. Our PLC utilized a high speed
proximity sensor to count teeth on a gear to give the PLC positional feedback
for auto table homing. The table used a pneumatic shot pin for final
location accuracy and was accurate to +/- .003" at a 30" radius!
Miller AutoInvision II Welding power supply w/ Tregaskiss Tough Gun 500A torch
and Tregaskiss torch cleaning system were also utilized.
These pictures were taken after 6 months of use at the
facility. The customer has produced thousands of parts from the cell and
it continues to run flawlessly!
